Our Project

The Tourist Complex and Recreation Center of Laft.

Qeshm is an island with exceptional capabilities especially conditioned and suited for tourist and recreational purposes .

Site selection:

This particular site has been selected for the following reasons:

Qeshm is the largest island located at the inflection point between Persian Gulf and Oman Sea with exceptional promises for future developments.

Qeshm is also the closest island from the mainland. The mainland is only 1800 meters away from Laft a port which is located on the mid-northern harbor of this island.

Historically , due to the passage of marine Silk Road (Silk Road water ways) through Qeshm , this island was one of the important trade centers of the world.

Qeshm`s natural attractions and many site seeing and historic locations gives this island an ideal and exceptional tourist characteristics.

Apart from the above characteristics ,Qeshm has an exceptional ecological , environmental and climatic characteristics.

Designing with these parameters and to find environmental solutions , was another important task considered by our design group .

-There is lots of heat ; high moisture ; and limited drinking water (very little rain-fall)

Design consideration:

Our main design considerations can be summarized as follow:

  • To rehabilitate and revival Qeshm and its past economical splendor by reconstruction of the old historic "Sasaney" bridge.

  •

  • To make full use of Qeshm`s natural ecological and environmental resources.

  •

  • To attract capital investments and tourists and bringing back to this far southern border of Iran its old economical glory and strategic power.
