is the "IAMCC"? IAMCC
is the new architectural design and research program in the field of
Architecture, Multimedia, Computer and Communication,
established in November 2000 by: architect Mohammad-Reza Helforoush Info
about IAMCC
Because
Of globalisation of Communication and the effects of modern techniques
in Societies, it is expected that today’s architecture will have to
account for new functions. The reactions of contemporary
and even future architecture
is a criterion for changes of every region. This transformation is the
result obtain through cultural and social changes from one side, and
on the other side
takes shape by the effects of the new techniques. Naturally,
this point that how much each society has prepared itself should
be examined. For this reason, it
should be analysed
that the architectural transformation
in each region
have followed
which elements
and where
their borders are.
Since the
examination of
regional and tribal
architecture, along with
global architecture is
complicated, analysing the
architecture theories
and exchange of
information should be
done from
some special
points of
view. At
the same
time, the
out comes
should be
firm as
a base for
planning the
contemporary and future
architecture. For
this purpose, IAMCC
program with
the knowledge
of new techniques and elements like multimedia, computer and
international communications
and technology transfer, try to step in these ways to define the
relation of
the elements from
one side
and to offer the suitable solution for future architecture
on the other side. The
IAMCC Homepage in its virtual
part will
make possible
the global
communication of all
interested in
this case
specially architects,
artists and
researchers of
social scientists.
In this
network, the communication
and mentioned
theories will be
shown to other authorities
in written
form, picture,
film or
link. This
network at
the same
time tries to remember and consider human and his material,
spiritual and cultural needs and also relationship between human and
environment. Goals
of the IAMCC program: IAMCC's
Program range from Digital experimentation and virtual
spaces to building
and urban design to computer generated environments and architectures to
multimedia and communication.
The
work of the IAMCC presents in additional way cultural practices and
technological influence on real and virtual architecture space
and design. For IAMCC the traditional problematic in Architecture,
particularly form and order are inflected and transformed by the new
spatial possibilities and strategies open to us through technological
intervention, particularly digital Architectures and our new spatial
relationship to information. To bring this debate to the Space &
surface, IAMCC offers in the program a few ranges of subprograms.

TU Vienna Between Architecture Students at Vienna University of Technology and
Shahid-Beheshti University in Tehran The "Digital Dialog“ subprogram is an “International Design
Workshop” and had a duration of five mounts from March2001 to July
2001. It has the following concept. With
the development of the Internet, the vision of the “ real-time and
exchange in Internet” has become reality. Areas over huge distances
can be communicated with one click of a mouse. We use then this global
networking to exchange our know-how. Here
is a workplace for architects and students, emphasizing the encounter
and exchange between different disciplines. In
our Design Workshop we research for Applying new technology and
developing the Architecture projects in different cultures, different
places and different climate and their relations. Main
areas of the Workshop in Internet for this year are culture and new
technology. Subprogram "Exhibition

To show the influence from multimedia

of architecture. (

The aim from comparison of the two academic groups, for which two groups
have been samples of

“Architecture
Transformation Innovation Traditional” as a virtual Lab was organized
in Vienna Austria by Architect Mohammad-Reza Helforoush
in 1999. The
Virtual Lab is featured by the diverse research and design activities
which have been carried out with the concept of
'” The traditional Architecture interpreted for the design of
the present Digital world.' The themes of its research are mainly on the
traditional of the Asian and middle European countries. the
ATIT Lab also promotes planning and design projects which can be tackled
with the concepts and methods based on relevant researches.
Everyone
can critically review the activities of the Lab on ATIT Website.
Especially, Everyone is invited to enjoy the slides which are part of
the ATIT Slide Library with over 500 slides of architecture. The Slide
Library will be expanded by links throughout
the World. We wish everyone to find out more about the Traditional
Architecture in a Digital Architecture World on ATIT. Subprogram "Real

Mohammad-Reza Helforoush Subprogram ”Building of tomorrow” (in planning)Architecture
in future The
"Building of Tomorrow" makes use of the two most important
developments in solar and energy efficient building: the passive house
and the low energy solar building method. For the purposes of the "Building
of Tomorrow" subprogram, these energy centred innovations are
expanded to take in ecological, economical and social concerns. The "Buildings
of Tomorrow" are residential and office buildings from by
fulfilling the following criteria: higher energy efficiency throughout the whole life-cycle of the
building greater use of renewable energy sources, especially solar energy greater use of sustainable raw materials, and efficient use of
materials increased consideration of user needs and services However, the costs are comparable with conventional building methods. The program The
subprogram's goal is the development and market diffusion of components,
prefabricated building parts and building methods which correspond to
the above criteria and to the main principles of sustainable
development. Combining
all of these demands is very challenging. Conflicts of aims can arise
which need somehow to be reconciled. On the other hand, when social,
economic and ecological aims can be integrated, the chances of success
for the concept are vast. The key to realising this goal lies in
innovation - not only technological but social, technological and
institutional innovation. It
is precisely in the combination of all these criteria that the chance
arises to make technological leaps which actually have a high market
potential. After
careful consideration of over-development of the countryside, land use
and mobility demands, priority has been given to multiple dwellings,
rather than single family homes. The
"Building of Tomorrow" subprogram has a planned duration of
five years. It comprises the following elements, which build on each
other logically. -Generation, preparation and dissemination of know-how in order to
support the technology development process in a way that focuses on the project's
aims -Concept-led technology and component development -Development of innovative building concepts for residential and
office buildings -Setting up and evaluating demonstration projects -Market diffusion of the "Buildings of tomorrow" The
current call for tenders concentrates on the first three elements of the subprogram,
and considers especially the projects that have already been financed
or supported by the programme. In
subsequent calls for tenders, demonstration buildings will be set up and
evaluated, although concept-led technology and component development
will continue. In order to focus future calls effectively, the
"Building of Tomorrow" subprogram will draw strongly on the
results of the call topic "innovative building concepts". The
close of the programme will involve activities to disseminate the
results and to support the market diffusion of the "Building of
Tomorrow". The
